Flagler College – Tallahassee (FCT) is pleased to announce the hiring of two new department chairs for our business administration/accounting and education programs.
Dr. Michael Thompson brings over 25 years of collegiate teaching experience to Flagler, including posts at Truman State University, Keller Graduate School of Management, Missouri Western State College, Delta State University, East Central University, and Lincoln Memorial University. He holds two endowed chair positions at Delta State University, served as Dean of the School of Business at East Central University and was the entrepreneurial expert for the state of Mississippi. Dr. Thompson’s areas of teaching expertise include marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Thompson succeeds Dr. Frank Trombino who previously served as department chair.
Ms. Andrea Carlile has teaching experience at both Florida State University and Flagler College – Tallahassee. Ms. Carlile holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Reading Education/Language Arts from Florida State University, where she is currently a PhD candidate in Curriculum & Instruction. In addition to her classroom experience, Ms. Carlile serves on the Board of Directors for Tree House of Tallahassee and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) of North Florida. Ms. Carlile succeeds Dr. Melanie Jensen who served as the education department chair for over 10 years.
