Building Gas Fireplace Mantels – If you build a mantle around the gas fireplace, it will make it look genuine, and add beauty to your room and the value of your home. You can build a very simple cheap costume with some pine boards and some trim. Measure the size of your fireplace to determine the length and width of the boards as you need; pre-cut slices and trim so you get what you need on hand.
